Change of Command - 09/11/2026

Friday, September 11, 2026 was a day we celebrated the changing of our command staff with one retirement and several promotions. After 38 years of service to our community, Chief James DePalma (Badge #902) retired from our agency. We thank him for his years of service, guidance and leadership within our community!

His retirement was followed by the promotion of Darrin Wendling (#909) to the position of Chief of Police.

Michael Enstrom (#918) was promoted to the position of Lieutenant.

Sgt. Keith Kulp (#926) was transferred to the position of Detective Sergeant.

Justin Schippang (#937) was promoted to the position of Sergeant.

Each new badge was pinned by family and a celebration was hosted at the Hanover Township Community Center. We want to wish each newly promoted officer a continued successful career in shaping our agency to be one of the finest in the Lehigh Valley!
